Questions
Which formats are supported?
Video: mp4, mov, m4v (H.264, HEVC, ProRes). Audio: mp3, m4a, wav, aac, aiff, caf. Recording in OBS? Set its output to mp4 — mkv isn't supported yet.
Does it reduce quality?
Fast mode copies your media without re-encoding — bit-for-bit quality, cuts snap to keyframes. Precise mode re-encodes for frame-accurate cuts at high quality.
Is my footage private?
Completely. PauseSweep works fully offline: no uploads, no account, no analytics. Your files never leave your Mac.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 13 Ventura or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel. No other software needed.
